Lightest Physical Collections of 3 Different Green Things
Hello all!
Thank you for the light, green, collected submissions for this task!
Images below are clickable so that you can see the pictures in their full glory!
Some submissions involved creative interpretations of the task directive, so submissions were scored either by mass or by how their creativity aligned with the task.
Under the gallery of images are the explanations submitted alongside the 4 creative interpretation submissions.
Also, the final image in the gallery is the list of mass-based submissions.
Scoring
| Tier | Ranking By Mass (solid border) | Creative Interpretations Ranking (dashed border) | Points |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 (gold) | omg. so light. do these things even exist? (less than 1g) | wittingly aligns with the task description! | 10 |
| 2 (silver) | light as a feather of a reasonable size (1 gram or greater but less than 3 grams) | creative and we agree that this mostly aligns with the task | 8 |
| 3 (bronze) | light as a slightly heavier feather (3-4 grams) | creative and we can understand why you think this aligns with the task; we just don’t completely agree | 6 |
| 4 (purple) | light as the flight feather (or 2) of a larger bird (more than 4 grams but less than 20 grams) | cute interpretation but no | 4 |
| 5 (green) | you tried, have some points | creative and would have aligned with the task better had the task been written differently | 2 |
| 6 (brown) | —- | —- | 0 |

Creative Interpretation #1
————————————–These three things make you feel light emotionally. The butterfly was made by my mom when my grandma was sick it symbolizes hope. The blanket sits on our couch and id often used by loved ones or during movie night. The lights have surrounded my window in my bedroom at Christmas time for two years and bring me a sense of peace when falling asleep.

Creative Interpretation #2
————————————–The necklace is light in the sense that it’s made of recycled material. Even the beads. So light on the use of new materials.

Creative Interpretation #4
โโโโโโโโโโโโPlease find attached my submission for Task #2.
The task required the creation of the lightest physical collection of three different green things, to be submitted by email. In assembling my collection, I interpreted โcollectionโ in the standard archival and curatorial sense: a defined and enumerated set of items, which may include conceptual or non-material elements as long as their membership is explicitly documented. This allows the items to be physically represented through their recorded descriptions, which together constitute the physical manifestation of the collection.
Since physical matter cannot be transmitted electronically, I photographed the only physically transferable component of the collection: the photons reflected from the page describing the collection at the moment of capture.
The three green things in my physical collection are:
A green initiative (environmentally green)
A green emotion (โgreen with envyโ)
A green light (permission granted)
Each item is conceptually distinct, qualifies as a โgreen thing,โ and contributes negligible mass. The attached image therefore contains the physical representation of the collection, transmitted in its lightest possible form.
Please confirm receipt of the photons and the collection they encode.
