The Initial Tree Photos
Hello all!
Thank you for the wonderful submissions for the initial task!
Images below are clickable so that you can see the pictures in their full glory! Some even came with little (or not so little) stories which we have included in the comments sections.
We have grouped the pictures into 5 scoring tiers, 1 non-scoring group, and a punishment category (yes, the chaos has begun and will continue.)
Things fall like this:
Top tier (gold/yellow solid border) – evocative
Tier 2 (silver-ish solid border) – lovely, some good feels
Tier 3 (copper-ish solid border) – nice trees
Tier 4 (purple solid border) – decent
Tier 5 (brown dashed border) – it is a tree
-1 points (grey dashed border) – screenshot is not a photo
-100 points 😮 (grey dashed border) – stock photo
+1 bonus point for photos that include other participants of the game

I forced myself out an a bit of an adventure for this photo task. I decided not only would I take a photo, but would find some view I hadn’t yet seen here in town and take the photo as close to midnight as I could. Some urban winter long exposure action. So, I spent 30 minutes digging the truck out of the snow, put it in low 4×4 and drove around Wildwood and then down to Edgeworthy and finally Edgeworthy off-leash park where I finally found it.
So, spent an hour standing around by myself in the cold taking long shots, then came home and made hot chocolate and fucked around getting the stupid camera to export them so I could do a quick edit and submission. Ha ha.

Backyard larch given to me by my parents in a small pot not long after we moved into this house in 2004.
